His ride: M1030 M2 Diesel

In a Mini-Challenge October, 2010, Fred rode into the 20 mph winds of El Camino Real at 70 mph, sitting up no less, consuming fuel at the rate of 89 mpg! Nobody has done that! Riding alongside, I could manage only 80 mpg.

Fred was beat by a gasoline powered streamlined Ninja. Even tho the Ninja burned more fuel, his fuel was cheaper.

The cost of fuel in dollars and cents counts in the Vetter Fuel Challenge.

Fred was riding a stock M1030 M2 Diesel with a sport fairing. Since then, Fred has made significant changes to his machine. But, I have re-geared my Helix, too, slowing the engine down even more. Besides... where will Fred carry the groceries?
