Dan Hanebrink talks:
I first met Dan in 1973 when he stopped by my factory in Illinois with his fantastic Monotrack motorcycle:
Intense, passionate and very gifted, are words I would use to describe Dan Hanebrink.

"Opinionated" works too.

These are qualities I admire in a person. Dan was at every Vetter competition from 1981 - always with something new. On the road course in 1985, Dan actually racked up over 500 mpg! I am sure that he was responsible for many sleepless nights among the other competitors.

I am so pleased that he has taken the time to tell us how he got such fantastic mileage

Dan (in yellow jacket) is explaining his bike. Charly Perethian (with the black beard) is to Dan's left. Could anybody have imagined the mark these two would make in motorcycle history ten years later?
