| The winner will be determined by the cost of the fuel used. Tax will be a big factor. If road tax has not been already paid, (like when we pump it at the station) we will add in the tax actually paid by the Vetter Streamliner. (Gotta reference something, right?) For example, 150 miles divided by 70 mpg is 2.14 gallons of gas. In California, we pay 53.7 cents per gallon. If the Vetter Streamliner consumes 2.24 gallons, I will have paid $1.49 in Federal and State Excise tax. We would agree that these vehicles probably wear out the highway system about the same and should pay the same tax. We still need to figure in local sales tax. We welcome any other challenger.
